Show

Description

Matinee Days/Times

The three-man new-vaudeville Blue Man Group pounds on just about anything it can get its azure little hands on. The loopy, gently avant-garde trio of silent performers continue with their long-running production at the Astor Place Theatre.

Sat 4:00

Sun 2:00

In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, a beautiful young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father - the king of the sea, escape the clutches of an evil sea witch and convince a prince that she's the girl with the perfect voice.

Based on one of the most beloved Disney films of all time and the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, The Little Mermaid is the sparkling new Disney musical that's poised to make a splash on Broadway. Some of Disney's most popular songs are featured in the show - including "Part of Your World," "Kiss the Girl," and the Academy Award®-winning Best Original Song, "Under the Sea"- by the songwriting team of 8-time Academy Award® winner Alan Menken and the renowned Howard Ashman. The stage adaptation also features new songs by Menken and Glenn Slater, plus a book by Tony Award®- winning playwright Doug Wright.

Now the longest-running show in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera has played to over 100 million people in 22 countries in 113 cities around the world since its first performance. The New York production alone has enchanted over 10 million audience members in its over 17-year run.

In The Phantom of the Opera, a young singer, Christine, is charmed by a mysterious specter who haunts the Paris Opera house. Based on Gaston Leroux's famous novel, the musical's tale begins as unexplained accidents have been occurring throughout the Paris Opera, and the stuck-up diva, Carlotta, refuses to go on. Christine takes her place and is a triumph. At her opening night, she meets her childhood friend, Raoul. Alone in her dressing room, she finally meets the Phantom who has taught her to sing so beautifully. Taking her to his lair in the misty catacombs beneath the Opera House, the Phantom declares his love for Christine, but she soon learns his terrible secret. The story moves from the Phantom's underground hideaway to the dizzying roof of the Opera House, as the Phantom and Raoul battle for Christine's love.

Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED details how these two unlikely friends end up as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch makes for the most spellbinding new musical in years. Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Winnie Holzman, and is based on the best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire.

Attention Monty Python fans! The crazy folks behind the phenomenally successful British comedy troupe are bringing a brand new musical to Broadway. The production also promises "some of the most unforgettable musical numbers you will ever see in the theater on this evening!" SPAMALOT, billed as "officially ripped-off" from the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, features a book by one of Python's creators, Eric Idle (based on the original screenplay, written by the troupe) with music and lyrics by Idle and John Du Perez. Mike Nichols directs the show.
